My journey to become a specialised recruitment consultant 

Quitting my previous job, working as a lawyer in a recognized firm in Spain, was not the easiest decision. However, once I decided to move to London and join Foundation Recruitment, I’ve never looked back!

As Steve Jobs once said: “I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

Thanks to my previous experience in an HR department, I realized I was motivated to work in a more commercial, people centric and relationship driven environment.

I decided to become a specialised recruiter because it gives you the opportunity to work within a very social atmosphere, building relationships with clients, colleagues and candidates. Also, you are involved in one of the most important decisions in people’s lives, making a great impact on their careers and the future success of companies.

Recruitment is a people business

The opportunity of interacting with people and working in an International environment took me to my current position!

I am working as a specialist recruitment consultant in the International Platform of a Real Estate recruitment firm: Foundation Recruitment

Being focused in the Iberian Territory, Switzerland and Middle East I work alongside my colleagues searching for professionals across the entire EMEA region. My role is to understand Client and Candidate concerns and present effective solutions. Doing a multi faceted role, communicating with both Clients and Candidates allows me to understand the frustrations, needs and motivations from both sides, giving me the ability to ensure long lasting partnerships are established.

Recruitment can be frustrating at times (especially in such a huge market!) as you are dealing with the most complex thing in the universe: Humans. However, despite its difficulties, recruitment is a thrill, full of incentives and a great atmosphere, which is why I love my job!
