ICSC European Conference

It was good to see so many familiar faces at the 40th ICSC European Conference in April, which returned to London for the first time since 1980. It was equally encouraging to be surrounded by a real sense of optimism about the markets in which we all operate. Its clear that some territories are still struggling, but in the main, the shopping centre arena looks set to prosper once again. We were certainly very pleased to attend and represent our business as a Co-sponsor of the conference – a further endorsement of our commitment to the exciting, international shopping centre arena.

The conference speakers were both varied and insightful and its credit to Mike Morrissey and his accomplished team at ICSC for putting together such a thought provoking programme. A major highlight was the Next Generation Live event which was streamed live to all ICSC members. The Next Generation platform has gone from strength to strength in recent years and its testimony to its momentum that such a bold initiative could be designed and successfully delivered to great acclaim. We would certainly advocate that our readers explore the platform both for themselves or perhaps members of their teams who are in the earlier stages of their careers.
